DoubleTree Special Chocolate Chip Cookies

● Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup rolled oats

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1 tsp salt

- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 tsp lemon juice

- 2 large eggs

- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts 

● Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Place the rolled oats in a food processor and blend until they turn into a fine powder.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the blended oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

4. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until creamy.

5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

7. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.
