Chocolate Dump Cake


  • 1 (15.25 ounces) package of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 ounces) package of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and instant chocolate pudding mix. Stir in the milk until well combined.

3. Spread the cake batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

4. Sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using, over the top of the cake batter.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
